Phytonα
is composed of over 30 kinds of plant
essential oil (Phytoncide) that resembles
the atmosphere to the virgin forest in
Japan’s Yaku-island. At Yaku-island,
emission of Phytoncide to the air is around
10 times more than a natural forest.
Phytoncide
is a natural antibiotic substance that trees
and plants radiate into the air to protect
themselves from harmful insects or
micro-organism. Most widely known method to
breathe in Phytoncide is to visit dense
forest and take a forest bath.
Phytonα blends such Phytoncide from more
than 30 kinds of trees under a unique
formula which is originally invented by Dr
Toshio Yoshino, an expert of atmospheric
pollution analysis. After his team’s over 10
years of research and development of
reproducing natural forest air in a city,
Phytonα was completed in 1987.
RELAXATION
EFFECT
Phytoncide cure damaged body and
spirit and bring the human body back
to the initial healthy condition by
heightening the immunity and natural
healing process.
Phytonα
can emit “Forest Air” which makes
you relax and refresh.
Test is conducted by monitoring
testees who stay at room with Phytonα
emitted for 15 minutes, followed by
measuring their pulse and
perspiration. The value shown above
is relative a figure after 15
minutes based on 100 value of before
the test.
REPELLENT
& ANTI-BACTERIA EFFECT
Phytonα,
which is emitted from coniferous
tree such as Japanese cedar, pine
tree, Japanese cypress or broadleaf
tree like eucalyptus and oak tree
has anti-bacteria effect and insect
repellent effect. It is
scientifically proved by Professor
Nakajima of Kinki University in
Japan that the product has repellent
effect for harmful insects.
ODOR
REMOVAL EFFECT
Old
wisdom says animal’s death does not
create odor in dense forest. In fact
Phytonα
can neutralize odor as Phytoncide
decompose unpleasant odor and purify
the air. The merit of Phytoncide as
a deodorant is that it can also
refresh air by providing forest-like
atmosphere at the same time.
Methyl Mercaptane
= Rotten onion’s smell
Ammonia
= Simulative bad smell
Trimethylamine
= Staled fish smell
Practical Usage of
Phytoncide in Japanese
Tradition
Japanese wine’s cask made of
cedar can preserve wine from
decay while generating wine
mellow.
Rice cake wrapped in an oak
or sakura leaf has
anti-bacteria effect.
In traditional Sushi
restaurant, the counter is
made of hinoki tree which
has antibacterial effect.
Wasabi and tea leaves also
have strong antibacterial
effect so that people can
minimize the risks of food
poisoning caused by colon
bacillus etc.
It is said that Japanese
traditional house made of
wooden material such as
hinoki tree keeps harmful
insects such as termites and
mosquito away.
