1.
Immediate & Long-lasting
effect
Sterilizer kills microorganism
immediately, but the effect does not
last long while Fungicide is a
medicament that is applied for the
purpose of continuous prevention of
mold, but immediate effect cannot be
expected. PBM realizes both
immediate effect and long-lasting
effect at the same time.

Fungicide (Organic)

2.
PBM has efficacy on a wide range of
microbes, as many as approximately
400 species of bacteria and molds
have known results. It especially
has an outstanding effect against
fungi (mold) which are originally
difficult to eliminate by ordinal
fungicides.

3.
PBM is a product which meets the
antimicrobial measurement standard
of SIAA (Society of Industrial
technology for Antimicrobial
Articles).
Major
inspection items of SIAA
-
Oral toxicity (toxicity when it is
taken orally)
-
Dermal irritancy (irritation induced
by touching skin for a long term)
-
Mutability (impact against gene
(DNA))
-
Skin sensitization (allergy)
Action
mechanism of PBM
PBM is an innovative product which
has lower toxicity than existing
products by killing microbes in an
indirect manner. PBM, which is a
synthetic chemical compound
consisting of existing organic
materials, destroy only cell walls
of bacteria and fungi (mold) and
exerts its inhibitory action by
inhibiting synthesis of DNA, SH-groups
and others. Because affected
microbes transmit warning signs to
other similar kinds of microbes,
other microbes avoid moving into PBM
treated areas (repellent effect).
Further, microbes affected by PBM
die over time, because they are not
able to absorb nutrients required
for their growth. Meanwhile,
disinfectant and inorganic
antimicrobial agents result in
repeated propagation of the same
microbes, because the agents kill
microbes by destroying the cell wall
and even nuclei, but the warning
signs are not transferred. |
